1. Create a new document as per your requirement
2. Set color mode, size, unit, color profile, grid size
3. Place the image of the desired logo.
4. Press ctrl + 2 for lock the object (image)
5. Create a small circle for picking color from existing logo.
6. Make available copy for different color
7. Make the gradient color
8. Make extra color for using tools
9. Decrease the opacity of the color which is using for creating shape
10. Use your required tool (Such as pen tool, shape tool, shape builder tool or path finder tool and others as your requirement complete your drawing.
11. At first copy the back side image, then the top side. Or as you feel easy.
12. Take a duplicate for backup each and every shape
13. Save your file often
14. Rename and arrange the layers and sub-layer. Because those are good practice for copying, creating or being a good designer.
15. Make sure there is no scratch shape or unnecessary equipment.
16. Now color your shapes as per requirement.
17. Try to make the file simple as you can. Try to avoid complexity.
18. Now unlock all and remove the image file from your file.
19. Keep in mind, if you think that this file will be use for Adobe after effect or other animation program, then try to make each and every shape in individual layers, not sublayers. Because it will make comfortable environment to make animation using your file
